Biographical Sketch 
Dr. David C. Naftel is a Professor in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at UAB and also is a Professor of Biostatistics in the UAB School of Public Health. Dr. Naftel is the director of INTERMACS(Interagency Registry for Mechanically Assisted Circulatory Support). Additionally, he has served on multiple councils and committees, including th eFDA Circulatory Systems Device Panel and FDA Medical Device epidemiology Network.
